The next morning I got shipping confirmations from both store and cancellation was impossible. They received the pkg on 06/03 which was on a Wednesday but said it would be 3-5 days before I received my refund. Sixteen days with my money. You'd think a business would want to go the extra mile to lessen a bad experience but they stuck with their protocol. No "let's make this up to you in some way" Nothing.
OK, it turns out I was wrong. Amazon does care about its customer service. I was contacted by the manager,and not only did he seek out how I'd been affected by the ordeal, but had already taken steps to make things up to me, and invited me to ask for him personally when I made future purchases...and I will.
